Steven Feist – Owner/CEO

Steven Feist brings a lifetime of construction experience and dedication to Vets 1st Contracting. Growing up in a family of contractors—his father a roofing contractor, one uncle an electrical contractor, and another a general contractor—Steven developed a strong foundation in construction from an early age. After moving to the Verde Valley in the early 1990s, he pursued a career in the aerospace industry, where he contributed to various complex projects.

Though not a veteran himself, Steven has a deep appreciation and respect for those who have served. His desire to support veterans led him to join Vets4Hire in 2016. In 2017, while attending Yavapai College, he purchased the local Prescott franchise and began expanding the company. Now he continues to serve communities throughout Northern and Central Arizona as Vets1st Contracting, creating meaningful career opportunities for veterans and delivering high-quality services across the region.

Adam Meyer– Project Manager & Estimator

I’m Adam Meyer, the Field Operations Manager for Vets First Contracting. With a lifelong passion for construction, I’ve been involved in the industry since I was a child, growing up on construction sites. Having lived in Arizona for 37 years, I’ve honed my skills in all facets of construction. I’ve framed many large custom homes and owned my own framing company. Additionally, I have over a decade of experience in commercial building with Gale Contractors.

Outside of work, I’m an avid outdoorsman and a proud family man. My beautiful wife, Kayla, and our four children are my greatest joys. Construction is more than a job to us—it’s a family tradition and a lifelong passion.

At every project, I strive for quality and timely production, ensuring that every client is satisfied with the result.

Tom Kincaid– Master Mason & Superintendent

I’m Tom Kincaid, a third-generation master mason with over 25 years of experience in construction since 1999. My passion for quality craftsmanship runs in the family, and I take pride in continuing this tradition of excellence.
I’ve been happily married since 2006, and my wife and I have been blessed to adopt three children, raising them from babies. Family is at the heart of everything I do, and that same care and dedication extends to every project I undertake.

I’ve been with Vets 1st almost since its inception, watching the company grow from Steve starting out with just an old mower and a work truck. From those humble beginnings, we’ve built something special together. Our commitment has always been simple: deliver the highest quality work possible, leave every project site clean, and ensure our customers receive exceptional value for a fair price.
What I love most about working with Vets 1st is the variety it offers. Every project brings new challenges and learning opportunities, allowing me to expand my skills while making a real difference in people’s lives. Katie Fiest– Comptroller

As an Arizona native with deep roots in the community, I bring over 15 years of professional experience in finance and business management to every client relationship. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and have dedicated my career to helping businesses achieve financial clarity and long-term success.
Throughout my professional journey, I’ve built a strong reputation founded on three core principles: unwavering accuracy, absolute integrity, and a genuine passion for helping businesses stay financially organized and thriving. I understand that behind every set of financial statements is a business owner’s dream, and I’m committed to providing the expertise and support needed to turn those dreams into sustainable success.
My approach combines technical expertise with personalized service. I believe that effective financial management isn’t just about numbers—it’s about understanding your unique business goals and creating strategies that align with your vision for growth and stability.
When I’m not working with clients, I’m a devoted family person, happily married and proud parent to two wonderful children.
